In Our Library

Christian Biographies for Young Readers

Author: Simonetta Carr

Location: Room 2, Elementary/Middle School

No one is too young to start learning about the heroes of the Christian faith! Simonetta Carr provides beautifully illustrated biographies of famous Christians from all over the world. Our library’s collection includes books that highlight people such as John Newton (redeemed British slave trader and writer of the hymn “Amazing Grace”), Phyllis Wheatley (former American slave who spoke against slavery and glorified God through her beautiful poetry), Peter Martyr Vermigli (Italian church leader who left the Roman Catholic Church to join the Protestant Reformation), and more. These easy-to-read books are age-appropriate for kids in middle school yet can be enjoyed by adults as well.
